School Meals

230_FAKENHAM_INFANTS_2019Each child in our school from Reception to Year 2 will be provided with a school lunch every day.

There will be no charge to you for this; the costs will be met by the Government.

We will be offering a daily choice of:

  • A hot meal
  • A vegetarian option
  • Pasta of the day
  • A jacket potato
  • A school packed lunch

You will be sent a menu in order to choose what your child would like from the three-weekly menu plans.  These choices will remain in place until the menu changes unless you request a change to be made.

If you do not want your child to have a school lunch you will be able to opt out and send a packed lunch from home. Due to the possibility of allergies please may we ask that you don’t include any nuts or any products that contains nuts in a packed lunch.

The school meals are of a high quality and are healthy and well balanced nutritionally.

All children receive a free piece of fruit or vegetable daily, no other snack is necessary. Nursery and Reception children are also entitled to free milk each day.
