We teach all the required elements of computing. Our children access a wide range of software to help them learn and challenge their thinking.

Objectives	To – understand what algorithms are, how they are implemented as programs on digital devices, and that programs execute by following precise and unambiguous instructions create and debug simple programs use logical reasoning to predict the behaviour of simple programs	To – use technology purposefully to create, organise, store, manipulate and retrieve digital content	To – use technology purposefully to create, organise, store, manipulate and retrieve digital content recognise common uses of information technology beyond school
E-safety	E-safety will be ongoing throughout the academic year. There will be 1 week each term where there will be a specific E-safety week. (This will tie in with school themes) Pupils should be taught to – use technology safely and respectfully, keeping personal information private; identify where to go for help and support when they have concerns about content or contact on the internet or other online technologies (Please note that some areas might overlap and be taught when felt appropriate by the class teacher depending on topics and children’s ability.)
