The Role of the Governing Body

546_FAKENHAM_INFANTS_2019

Governors play a very important part in the life of the school and are a volunteer group.

They are a critical friend and are there to support and challenge the school in the decision making processes.
They are involved in:

  • delivery of the curriculum
  • care and safety of the children and staff
  • appointment of staff
  • overview of the budget
  • maintenance of the building.

Governors meet twice termly throughout the school year.

If you are interested in finding out more about the work of the Governors or in standing for office when a vacancy occurs, please contact the school. Governors provide a variety of ways of encouraging parents to give feedback about the school.

If parents wish to raise any issue with the governors, please contact the Clerk to the Governors on kellington@fakenhamjunior.org.uk
