Amazingly, we have come to the end of the first half term of the year – it has been a busy one! We have spent a lot of time hosting OFSTED; however, it was lovely to share the ‘good’ FJS report with parents and I look forward to sharing the report for FINS when we receive it after the break. It is the end of September! In one breath I can’t believe that the first month of the school year is completed, however, considering the intense start to the term at both schools, I also can’t believe it is only the end of September. Read more

I want to start by saying thank you to all of you who have attended events, helped and supported your child with reading etc., because it really makes a difference to them. When parents are fully engaged in their children’s learning we know success will be seen. Read more

Next week is transition time for the majority of children in school (some have already had transition days). Most of Y6 children will head to Fakenham Academy for three days – they will be fine and I know they will enjoy it. Read more

Yesterday we were visited by Natasha Hutcheson, the Chair of the Board of Directors for our Multi-Academy Trust. She walked around both schools meeting some pupils and staff. She was struck by how happy, warm and welcoming the schools felt and impressed with the focus and politeness of the children. Read more

It’s nice to finally see the sun again! The cloud has been keeping the temperatures down, which we might think is a bad thing, but it does help when you have up to 30 children (or more in some classes) in a classroom. It does, however, look like things are going to warm up next week, so please remember to send children with sun cream applied, hats and a bottle of water each day. Read more

Fakenham Infant and Nursery School: School will only be open for Y1 and Y2. Reception classes and nursery provision will be closed for the day. Fakenham Junior School: School will only be open for Y6. Y3, Y4, and Y5 classes will be closed for the day. Before School Club and After School Club will remain open for children who are attending school on those days. Read more
